Carlos’s Mobile Barbershop Hits the Road in Donated Vehicle from Good News Garage

All Good News Garage clients have unique stories, but our Framingham, MA client, Carlos, had a special plan for his new Dodge Caravan. Prior to receiving his donated vehicle, Carlos was part of a program that helps formerly incarcerated individuals get back on their feet by assisting them with starting their own businesses. His plan – to open a mobile barbershop that brings the old-fashioned barbershop experience to men who are confined to group homes and nursing facilities. With the key piece now in place – a reliable vehicle – Carlos now runs Omar’s Mobile Barbershop!

Carlos was featured in the Framingham Patch in a story about how his Good News Garage vehicle will enable him to achieve his business goals.

Prior to receiving his GNG vehicle, Carlos was featured in a Boston Globe article about an entrepreneurship boot camp at Boston College Law School for Massachusetts residents who have served time in prison.

We’re so happy to be a part of making this dream a reality for Carlos!
