Connecting New Englanders with Affordable, Reliable Transportation Since 1996

The mission of Good News Garage is to create economic opportunity by providing affordable and reliable transportation options to people in need. Programs are available in Massachusetts and Vermont. Each state has specific guidelines for who qualifies to receive assistance. Please take the time to read through the information specific to the state in which you live. If after reviewing the information, you require additional information or think you meet application qualifications, please contact your regional Good News Garage office. When leaving a message please remember to include the area code of your phone number.

Transportation equity is critical! Help us advocate for access to reliable, affordable transportation in your state. Consider writing a letter or email to your state representatives. You can find out how to contact your local legislator here.

Wheels to Work

Our Wheels to Work program awards safe, reliable vehicles to individuals and families in need. To date, this program has provided over 5,000 vehicles to our New England neighbors. All vehicles are donated by generous New Englanders who would like to see their old or unused cars, trucks, and vans serve their community members and provide them with independence and mobility.

This program is currently awarding vehicles to residents of Vermont in partnership with the Department of Children and Families’ Reach Up program and in Massachusetts in partnership with the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission.

Ready To Go

Ready To Go (R2G) is a transportation service that uses donated vans to bring individuals and families to and from critical life activities, including work, job training, school, medical appointments, and grocery stores. This program is operated out of our Burlington, Vermont office and provides transportation all over Vermont and in the Worcester, Massachusetts area.

If your business or organization is interested in partnering to provide rides to employees, staff, and other individuals please contact us.
