Travis is Going Places Thanks to Massachusetts Car Donor

With a fresh college degree from UMass Lowell, our client Travis Barrett from Pelham, Massachusetts was ready to get his career started. There was only one thing missing, a safe and reliable vehicle. Like so many places in New England, the area where Travis lives isn’t serviced by public transportation. Relying on friends and family members for rides to and from work and other essential activities would only work for so long. In order to be a dependable and timely employee with the potential to build a successful career, Travis knew that a car of his own was a necessity. Through his counselor at the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, Travis was hopeful that a Massachusetts car donation program could be the solution to his dilemma.

On December 30, 2020, Travis’s hopes were answered when he was awarded a new-to-him 2013 Chevy Malibu from Good News Garage. Our New Hampshire office helped facilitate the charitable gift in partnership with the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission.

Travis wrote the donor of his new car a thank you note saying, “This car will change my future and give me the ability to travel to new jobs for years to come. This car also gives me the peace of mind I didn’t have before. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This means the world to me.”

WWLP-22News out of Springfield, Massachusetts heard about Travis good fortune and featured him in a news story.
